A video showing Rick Karsdorp coming on as a substitute in the game against Sassuolo is causing debate among Roma fans as it appears to prove the defender’s lack of commitment.

José Mourinho heavily criticised the Dutch defender following Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Sassuolo, saying that he betrayed the team with his lack of commitment and that he should leave in January.

Mourinho didn’t name the player he was angry with, but according to reports in Italy, he was referring to Karsdorp.

Roma fans have been discussing Mourinho’s words on social media and a video that has gone viral on Twitter appears to prove that Karsdorp wasn’t exactly motivated when he replaced Zeki Celik at the Mapei Stadium on Wednesday.

However, Mourinho is also blamed by some fans who believe the Feyenoord defender should not have been involved at all.

Reports in Italy suggest there are three reasons Mourinho was unhappy with his defender, while Karsdorp’s agent has demanded an explanation from the club and the coach.
