Over 5,000 Roma fans waited for Romelu Lukaku’s landing at Ciampino on Tuesday, but some damaged cars parked outside the airport, trying to get as close as possible to their new idol.

Lukaku landed in Rome on Tuesday afternoon and was welcomed by more than 5,000 Giallorossi fans.

However, some could not control their enthusiasm and jumped on the roof of cars parked outside the airport’s gates to have a closer look at their new striker.

Images and videos of smashed windscreens and panoramic roofs outside Ciampino Airport have gone viral on social media, emerging as the dark side of a joyful day for most Giallorossi supporters.
