With Edin Dzeko seemingly going to Inter, Roma are eyeing potential replacements, including Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, also a target for Atalanta.

Multiple sources are confident the domino effect is already in motion, with Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for €115m cash and Dzeko replacing him at Inter for circa €2m, with a two-year contract worth €6m per season.

Now the Giallorossi need a new centre-forward, bearing in mind they already have Borja Mayoral, who was first choice ahead of Dzeko this season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, there are two main candidates and both would come in from outside Serie A.

The first is Abraham, who gets very little playing time at Chelsea and has also been linked with Atalanta as the heir to Duvan Zapata, should the Colombia international go to Inter for €40m.

There is also competition from Arsenal, should Abraham wish to remain in England.

Another intriguing option is Sweden international Isak, who turns 22 next month and impressed with six goals in 26 senior caps for his country.

He only recently signed a new contract with Real Sociedad to June 2026, making the move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for €15m.

Isak found the net 17 times in 34 Liga appearances last season, along with two assists.

Another striker mentioned by transfer pundit Pedro Almeida is Haris Seferovic, the Switzerland international currently playing for Benfica.
