Roma are reportedly considering a January proposal for Stoke City and Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri.
According to Calciomercatoweb.it, the Giallorossi see him as the ideal stand-in for Mohamed Salah when the Egypt international is away for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Swiss international turns 25 on Monday and already has experience of Serie A football, struggling for playing time at Inter from January to August 2015.
He has since flowered at Stoke City and Euro 2016, capturing the attention of Roma.
