Daniel Sturridge is increasingly on Roma’s radar if Edin Dzeko moves to Chelsea, as Inter are not too convinced by the Liverpool striker.

Multiple sources in Italy today suggest the double deal bringing Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri to Chelsea could be completed on Monday or Tuesday.

It’d be for a total of around €50m plus €5-10m in bonuses.

While Roma technically already have a replacement in summer buy Patrik Schick, they will look towards the Premier League for another addition.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi aren’t prepared to take Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea as part of the deal, preferring Liverpool’s Sturridge.

For several weeks now, it has been reported that Sturridge is shopping himself around to Serie A clubs, above all Inter, but Liverpool are demanding €2m for the six-month loan plus an option to buy at almost €30m.

The 28-year-old England international would be closer to Dzeko’s style of centre-forward than other options.

However, both Roma and Inter are unconvinced by Sturridge’s poor record with injuries.

So far this season, he has contributed three goals and three assists in 14 competitive games for Liverpool.
