Roma star Paulo Dybala explained his celebration to furious Juventus fans on Telegram: ‘I know it’s difficult…’

The Giallorossi striker was delighted with a key 1-0 win over his former club at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday and celebrated a late save from Rui Patricio from the touchline along with his teammate Gini Wijnaldum.

Apparently, many Juventus fans didn’t like to see their ex-idol celebrate a victory against the Old Lady, s much so that Dybala had to justify his action on Telegram.

La Joya sent a message to his former supporters through his official channel.

“I know it’s difficult for you and it is also for me,” he said.

“However, I play for a different club and with other teammates today and I have to respect them. It is never easy to win and for us, it was very important. Respect will always be there, don’t let yourself be deceived by social media.

“I just celebrated with my teammates. I am sorry you see it this way. A big hug to everyone,” the striker concluded.

Dybala left Juventus in the summer of 2022 after the Old Lady decided against offering him a contract extension.

During his seven-year spell at the club, Dybala became Juventus’ tenth most prolific player of all time, scoring 115 goals in 293 appearances.

This season, he has 12 goals in 24 competitive matches with Roma.
