Roma are successfully whittling down their squad, with Justin Kluivert going to Fulham, Amadou Diawara to RSC Anderlecht and Riccardo Calafiori to FC Basel.

The Giallorossi have been among the most active clubs on the transfer market this summer, as Jose Mourinho remoulds the squad in his image.

There were numerous new signings, so the focus for director Tiago Pinto is now finding new clubs for those who are not part of the project.

According to Sky Sport Italia, after weeks of negotiations, a deal has finally been agreed for Fulham to take Kluivert on loan with an obligation to buy.

The talks have been broken off repeatedly, but they seem to have an agreement at circa €10m plus a 20 per cent cut of his sell-on fee.

Midfielder Diawara is also off their books with a permanent transfer to RSC Anderlecht, reportedly for €3m plus a 50 per cent cut of his future sell-on fee.

He accepted the move and has already completed his medical with the Belgian side.

Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia claim that Calafiori is on the verge of a move to Basel, although the details are still somewhat hazy.

While one source sees it as a paid loan, the other maintains it will be a permanent transfer for €1.5m plus 40 per cent of the sell-on fee.
