Roma director made Dybala transfer admission to fan – report

Roma director Tiago Pinto reportedly reassured a Roma fan that Paulo Dybala will remain at the Stadio Olimpico in the summer: ‘Where else should he go?’

The Argentinean striker signed a three-year deal with the Giallorossi last summer, joining as a free agent after the end of his contract with Juventus.

He has quickly become a cornerstone of José Mourinho’s Roma, scoring 16 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions and delivering eight assists.

Roma fans are concerned as Dybala has a €20m clause included in his contract, available for Serie A clubs, while teams outside Italy can secure his signature for just €12m.

However, according to Romanews, who had a reporter outside Trigoria on Saturday, Roma director Pinto reassured a fan who had asked for updates on the future of the Argentinean: “Dybala will stay, where else should he go?” Pinto reportedly told the worried fan.

The Giallorossi have an option to cancel Dybala’s release clauses by raising his salary in the summer. They will soon meet the striker’s entourage, hoping to keep La Joya at the Stadio Olimpico in 2023-24.
