While the Italians are hoping to keep him, the position of PSG hasn't been equally clear, with Coach Luciano Spalletti claiming they mean to keep the player and other sources reporting they just want a higher price.
According to Il Messaggero, and partly thanks to the player's own pressure on his home club, the two parties may now be closer to a deal.
PSG are apparently open to negotiating the player's price, and may come down to €12m for a definitive purchase, which is the price that Roma are willing to pay.
