Roma are close to swapping Kostas Manolas for Napoli’s Amadou Diawara, while a Chinese club have offered Stephan El Shaarawy a €12m salary.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the exchange deal could be finalised by the end of this week.

Elaborating on the report, RomaPress writes Roma will be able to record the sale of Manolas at €36m – the value of his release clause.

Although that would go towards raising necessary capital, it remains to be seen how much Diawara will set them back.

Elsewhere, Di Marzio claims Shanghai Shenhua have offered El Shaarawy a mammoth contract to join them.

That has been echoed by Gazzetta dello Sport, although it clarifies the proposal is a four-year deal worth €8m a season after tax.

The Italy winger has only one year left on his contract with the Giallorossi, who in turn are prepared to sell him for €20m.

As for Jordan Veretout, the Sky Sport Italia journalist reports the Lupi have agreed terms for the midfielder and that they could send right-back Rick Karsdorp to Fiorentina as a means of reducing the cost of his transfer.

The transfer expert also believes Roma have joined the race for Sampdoria target and PSV forward Sam Lammers.

Finally, Di Marzio wraps up with the line that the arrival of sporting director Gianluca Petrachi from Torino will be made official on Tuesday.
