Roma have only one centre-back available against Benevento, after losing Bryan Cristante and Roger Ibanez during the Europa League trip to Braga.
Cristante limped off with lumbago just 10 minutes into the 2-0 victory and is unlikely to recover in time for Sunday.
Ibanez then had to leave the field in the second half due to a muscular issue in his right thigh.
He had already been in doubt to start the match.

This is a huge problem for Roma going into Sunday’s Serie A game against Benevento, because Chris Smalling, Marash Kumbulla and Davide Santon are also out of action.
It’s likely Gianluca Mancini will be the only centre-back available, so Federico Fazio will have to be reintroduced to the squad after he was frozen out in January.
As for the third centre-back, Leonardo Spinazzola or Jordan Veretout could end up filling in the gaps.
