Jose Mourinho named his Roma squad for pre-season training, leaving out players like Pedro Rodriguez, Justin Kluivert, Davide Santon and Javier Pastore.

The new coach took over today and held his presentation press conference, replacing Paulo Fonseca.

He is taking the side in a new direction, as confirmed by the list of players taking part in pre-season.

Among those left out, and therefore on the transfer market as they are not part of Mourinho’s plans, are Federico Fazio, Santon, William Bianda, Pastore, Steven Nzonzi, Uros Coric, Pedro and Kluivert.

Nicolò Zaniolo is included, as he is now fully on the road to recovery after two devastating knee injuries in the last year.

Naturally, this group does not include those playing for Italy at UEFA EURO 2020, namely Alessandro Florenzi and Bryan Cristante, while Leonardo Spinazzola is out for seven to nine months following Achilles tendon surgery.
