Roma are keen to sign Valencia’s Goncalo Guedes but they’ll have to fight off competition from the interested Wolves.

The Giallorossi are looking to provide Jose Mourinho with some strong attacking reinforcements this summer as they look to build on the work carried out this season. The goal for next campaign will be a top four finish, so a deep squad is needed to maintain momentum throughout the season.

As reported by Tuttosport, Roma are working on signing the 25-year-old Guedes from Valencia. Contracted to the Spanish side until 2024, his estimated market value of €40m has dropped recently, so the Giallorossi could secure a good deal.

Guedes is open to a move and is now considering offers from both the Roman club and Wolves, who already have a number of Portuguese players in their squad.

The Portuguese forward, who can play in a number of roles, scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 36 Serie A appearances this season.

5 thought on “Roma competing with Wolves for Guedes”
  1. @brandon Roma have Pellegrini, Zaniolo, Cristante, Mancini, Spinazzolla, El sharawy, and Eduardo Bove (future Italian player) in the first squad. What do you mean?? We have 6 players in the national team, but Mancini keeps playing the likes of Pessina, Raspadori, Scamacca, Acerbi, etc. No wonder Italy failed to qualified for World Cup

  2. Brandon football is beautiful and knows no nation don’t turn it into something that has cause serie A to fall from being the best league to a league among others

  3. Roma has 7 Italian nationals on the squad and Guedes would give them 3 Portuguese if they keep Olivieri. I suppose you could stretch to include the Portuguese-speaking Brazilian Ibanez. Brandon’s point makes no sense.
