Roma are closing in on an agreement with Ligue 1 side RC Lens over the transfer of centre-back Kevin Danso after the Giallorossi submitted a new proposal for a loan deal with an option to buy.

Roma tempting Lens with latest Danso offer

According to reports on Sunday evening, Roma’s latest proposal consists of a €1m offer to sign Danso on loan for the season, with an option to buy for a further €21.5m plus €1m in bonuses.

That would bring the total cost of the operation up to €23.5m to sign the Austria international permanently.

According to updates from Gianluca Di Marzio, Lens are growing increasingly tempted by Roma’s latest offer.

Roma are hoping to add a few new defensive additions to Daniele De Rossi’s squad before the end of the summer transfer window, and have also agreed a deal for Saudi Arabia international Saud Abdulhamid, who will provide competition for Zeki Celik at right-back.
