There are growing reports Roma are on the verge of signing Granit Xhaka from Arsenal.

The 28-year-old Swiss international will face Italy in the group stages of Euro 2020.

It’s potentially an introduction to the country he could call home next season, as there are increasing suggestions in England that Roma are close to a deal.

Xhaka was requested specifically by new Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho.

According to Football London’s Chris Wheatley, Metro and the Daily Mail, Arsenal are in advanced talks with Roma to complete the deal.

They had wanted €25m, whereas the initial offer was €14m plus bonuses.

It has been suggested that Xhaka already agreed personal terms with Roma for a four-year contract.
