Roma have reportedly chosen Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco to replace Rudi Garcia if there’s no silverware.
The squad is competitive and money spent on the transfer market bringing in the likes of Mohamed Salah, Edin Dzeko and Antonio Rudiger.
With that in mind, the club has made it clear they expect trophies this season and the 6-1 Champions League hammering at the hands of Barcelona was an embarrassing setback.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have ‘booked’ Sassuolo boss Di Francesco for next season if Garcia fails to turn things around.
Under Italian rules, a Coach cannot work for two different clubs in one Serie A season, so even if Di Francesco wanted to leave Sassuolo this term, it couldn’t be done.
The plan is to give Garcia until the end of the campaign – or bring in a caretaker manager if the situation deteriorates – before calling in Di Francesco.
It would be a return to Roma for EDF, who was here as a player from 1997 to 2001 and uses a more evolved version of Zdenek Zeman’s all-attack 4-3-3.
Sassuolo are flying high in fifth place and are only five points behind Roma.
