Roma CEO Claudio Fenucci is leaving the club in order to take up a similar role at Bologna, according to reports today.

Fenucci assumed the role of chief executive at the Giallorossi in July 2011, when he was appointed by former President Thomas DiBenedetto to lead the side’s off-field operations.

However, the Roman has seen his position marginalised since the arrival of James Pallotta, who succeeded DiBenedetto two years ago and subsequently brought his own men in.

The club have confirmed at today's shareholders' meeting that the director is leaving them, and Il Tempo are leading suggestions it is to join up with Bologna, as part of their new direction under American-Canadian ownership.

Any move north would reunite Fenucci with President Joe Tacopina, who held the position of Roma Vice-President until September, before leading the consortium alongside Joey Saputo that purchased the Rossoblu.

Fenucci is also expected to reacquaint himself at the Stadio Dall’Ara with his former Lecce aide and sporting director Pantaleo Corvino.
