José Mourinho remains on the lookout for a new centre midfielder and according to reports in Italy, Tanguy Ndombele and Joao Moutinho are possible transfer targets for the Giallorossi.

Moutinho, 35, is the latest midfielder linked with a January move to the capital.

His contract expires in June and Wolvehaptom won’t offer him a new deal.

Mourinho and Moutinho share the same agent, Jorge Mendes and the Special One is an admirer of the experienced Portugal midfielder.

However, Roma must sell Amadou Diawara first. The former Napoli starlet is on Africa Cup of Nations duty and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he has rejected an offer from Valencia.

Galatasaray are also interested in securing his services

The Rome-based paper reports Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele remains a target for the Giallorossi, but, yet again, Roma must first offload Diawara and then convince Tottenham to pay a part of the player’s salary until June.

Spurs know it will be complicated to sell the former Lyon star on a permanent deal after his €60m move to North London in 2019.

Last but not least, Boubacar Kamara is likely to leave Olympique De Marseille in January, six months before the expiration of his contract, but has requested a €5m-a-year deal which would make him become the highest earner in the capital with Tammy Abraham.
