Sky Sport Italia reports Roma have already contacted three coaches to replace Daniele De Rossi: Ivan Juric, Edin Terzic and Stefano Pioli, but the ex-Milan boss is ‘checking in’ for Al-Nassr.

Roma suddenly sacked their head coach, De Rossi, on Wednesday morning.

The Giallorossi are winless in the opening four Serie A matches, but the former midfielder had signed a contract until 2027 only a few months ago.

Sky: Roma called three coaches to replace De Rossi, but Pioli joining Al-Nassr

Sky Sport Italia’s correspondent from Rome, Paolo Assogna, reports that the Giallorossi have already contacted a few possible replacements, including ex-Milan coach Pioli.

Assogna revealed that he even called Pioli to have updates on a possible move to the Stadio Olimpico, but the Italian tactician replied that he was ‘checking in’ at the airport before taking off for Saudi Arabia, where he will be appointed as Al-Nassr coach.

Assogna reports that Roma are unlikely to get a new Italian coach, like Maurizio Sarri or Massimiliano Allegri, but they have already contacted ex-Torino boss Juric and former Borussia Dortmund tactician Terzic, even if they are not the only options on the table for the Serie A side.

  1. Well, the most suitable coaches for Roma are Ventura, Giampaolo & Pirlo. With one of them, Roma will clinch their 3rd scudetto.
