Tammy Abraham was forced off the pitch in the final minutes of yesterday’s Coppa Italia clash against Inter due to a suspected muscle injury but should be available to face Sassuolo on Sunday.

The 24-year-old was replaced by Felix Afena-Gyan at the end of Roma‘s 2-0 loss against Inter last night and there was fear he could miss the upcoming Serie A fixture against the Neroverdi.

However, Sky Sport Italia reports the former Chelsea striker hasn’t suffered a severe injury and although he will undergo further medical examinations at Trigoria tomorrow, he is expected to be available when the Giallorossi visit the Mapei Stadium on Sunday.

Abraham joined Roma in a €40m move from Chelsea in the summer to replace Edin Dzeko.

The Englishman has scored 17 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions under José Mourinho this term.

The Giallorossi have targeted a Champions League placement this season, but sit seventh six points off four-placed Juventus.
