Daniele De Rossi has received two key boosts in training this week in Trigoria as Roma prepare for the ever-tense Derby della Capitale with Lazio.

The Giallorossi have been a team reborn under the 2006 World Cup winner following his arrival in the dugout back in January, instantly justifying the club’s decision to dismiss Jose Mourinho. They’ve been one of the most in-form teams in the league since, flying into a top four battle.

Roma struggled to come out swinging following the international break, looking off the mark in a frustrating goalless draw with Lecce. Now, all focus in the Italian capital is on the upcoming derby with Lazio, a match that’ll surely be awash with drama and tension.

Roma returns

As reported by Voce Giallorossi, Daniele De Rossi was pleased to welcome back Leonardo Spinazzola in the Roma squad training session today following his recent flexor problem, an issue that forced him to miss the draw with Lecce.

Paulo Dybala has also continued training with the squad, having returned a few days ago following his recent adductor injury.
