With Carlos Bacca in Milan's hands, Roma's attention has returned to Manchester City's Edin Dzeko.
The 29-year-old cannot be guaranteed a starter's shirt by the Citizens and may look kindly on a new destination, but his current €6m yearly wages may be an obstacle for the Lupi.
According to Il Tempo, the Italian club are now pursuing the Bosnian international with renewed intent and may be favoured by the good relations with Manchester City President Sheikh Mansour.

According to Il Tempo, the Italian club are now pursuing the Bosnian international with renewed intent and may be favoured by the good relations with Manchester City President Sheikh Mansour.
Roma already negotiated with Mansour in the deal that took Gervinho to Al Jazira, the club owned by the Sheikh in the Middle East.
The publication speculates that Roma may have to offer Dzeko a deal spread over a five-year contract to meet his salary requirements, which are expected to be around €4.5-5m. The player himself is reportedly valued at approximately €20m.
Should the Bosnian international not be an option, Roma's alternatives include Everton's Romelu Lukaku, valued at €30m, and Shakhtar Donetsk's Luiz Adriano, though they will have to beat Milan's competition for the Brazilian.
