Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco is reportedly hanging by a thread after the 2-0 home defeat to SPAL.

Despite finishing third in Serie A last season and reaching the Champions League semi-final, Di Francesco remains under pressure at the Stadio Olimpico.

He had surpassed one crisis already this term and notched up four wins in a row in all competition, but that run ground to a halt with yesterday’s 2-0 home defeat to 10-man SPAL.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, President James Pallotta is furious and ready to axe Di Francesco, but was convinced to wait by consultant Franco Baldini.

The next four games will be decisive for the tactician, who will take on CSKA Moscow in the Champions League twice, along with trips to Napoli and Fiorentina.
