Roma have reportedly made an approach for Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi, who had already been linked with Napoli.

The 25-year-old is down to the final year of his contract in the Netherlands, although his deal does include an option to extend for one more season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma contacted Feyenoord to ask after the centre-back and were told the asking price is circa €20m.

The Giallorossi hope to whittle that down during negotiations and it’s reported they feel confident Senesi is eager for a Serie A transfer, having turned down Ligue 1 options.

He has one senior cap for Argentina and moved from San Lorenzo to Feyenoord in the summer of 2019 for €7m.

It is not the first time that Senesi has been close to a Serie A transfer, as he was also heavily linked with Napoli in January.

Roma got to see him up close, as he played for Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League Final won by the Giallorossi last month.
