Roma have officially announced a new sponsorship deal with Toyota, which’ll see the Japanese corporation’s branding on their training kits.

The announcement details how Toyota will now be the primary sponsor on all of Roma’s training kits, from the first team to the women’s squad and youth system. The deal was pushed forward by owners the Friedkin family, who are the exclusive distributors of the Japanese cars in five different US states.

Roma and Toyota’s partnership will last for two years, with an option for a third, and is worth just under €2m net per season. In addition, the Japanese corporation will provide a fleet of cars to the club, replacing Hyundai, who were the back sponsors of the Giallorossi until last season.

The Roman club are seemingly building a strong project under Jose Mourinho and deals like this, combined with their impressive summer transfer window, will be crucial in closing the gap to the top teams.
