Roma have announced a new sponsorship deal with Zytara Labs, which will be worth €36m and allow fans to interact with the club via DigitalBits blockchain.

This also means that it will become the primary logo front and centre on all jerseys for the men’s first team, women’s first team, Primavera and youth teams during all matches.

The agreement will be worth €36m over three years as an exclusive partnership agreement.

They will create an ASR blockchain based digital assets and XDB will be integrated and accepted as new purchasing methods.

Fans will be able to buy digital player cards and NFTs representing both current and historical moments in the club’s history.

Supporters can interact with the club in blockchain-based shared virtual worlds and 25 commemorative gold rings with the Roma logo will be available for purchase with the CDB token, proceeds going to the RomaCares charity foundation.

To commemorate the launch of this partnership, AS Roma will be selling the first eleven jerseys of the 2021-22 season worn by the Giallorossi players during the friendly between Roma and Montecatini, a match that also marked the beginning of the José Mourinho era on the club’s bench.

“We could not be more excited to have AS Roma officially join the DigitalBits ecosystem,” said CEO Guido Fienga.

“DigitalBits is a blockchain known for its speed, efficiency, and sustainability: traits that mirror the values of our club and will allow us to deepen the engagement with our fans worldwide in numerous ways.”
