Roma director Tiago Pinto will reportedly meet Sassuolo representatives to discuss Davide Frattesi.

The Italy international wants to return to the Stadio Olimpico and the Giallorossi are trying to reach an agreement with the Neroverdi.

According to Sky Sport Italia, representatives of the two clubs will meet this week, probably on Wednesday or Thursday.

Sassuolo value Frattesi at €30m, but Roma are confident about lowering the asking price as they own the 30% of any future sale of the Azzurri starlet, so they hope to finalise his signature for €12-15m.

Frattesi’s mother said last week that the 22-year-old dreams of wearing the Giallorossi shirt again.

“It would be a great satisfaction for him to wear the Giallorossi shirt again. He has always had the desire to return where he grew up,” said Sonia Galdo.

“Davide understood that Roma isn’t an easy place. In Modena, it’s all different, there are fewer distractions, but he knows what he wants.

“He has proved to be a great professional. Roma have recently won a trophy and it would be a dream for him to play for the club again.”

  1. These teams fight over someone like Frattesi, who’s a mediocre player, no wonder Italian soccer has declined so much!
