Negotiations continue between Roma and Paris Saint-Germain for Georginio Wijnaldum, but there are still quite a few details that need to be resolved.

The midfielder joined PSG as a free agent last summer after leaving Liverpool, but did not make much of an impact with 38 competitive appearances, in which he scored three goals and provided three assists.

Everyone seems confident that the move will go through, but the clubs are trying to whittle down the details of the transfer.

After initially demanding €10m to sell the Dutchman, PSG are now prepared to let him leave on loan with an option to buy and not an obligation.

In turn, Paris Saint-Germain are also now asking Roma to pay Wijnaldum’s full salary for the period of the loan, whereas before they had been prepared to split the costs.

They continue to discuss the terms of the agreement, but all parties are confident a deal will be done eventually.

  1. Let’s not waste 9 million euros for the season on Wijnaldum’s wages. Use that money to get the Frattesi deal done and invest for the future. Forza Roma.

  2. Fratessi would have been better bcos is still very young and talented and has many years ahead of than wijnaldum, but I don’t know what is holding them from signing him.
