Roma already have one January signing and could have another from within Serie A, because Serbia international Sasa Lukic is reportedly pushing to leave Torino, but there’s interest from Leeds United too.

The Giallorossi officially picked up winger Ola Solbakken as a free agent from Bodo/Glimt and are seeking more reinforcements.

Lukic is currently at the World Cup in Qatar playing for Serbia and is under contract with Torino until June 2024.

However, his agent has already caused problems by declaring the player is “ambitious” and will consider his future after the tournament is over.

With that in mind, Toro know they must sell as soon as possible to get the biggest transfer fee, hoping he can do well at the World Cup to raise his profile.

According to Calciomercato.com, Lukic could well remain within Serie A, as Roma are interested in the 26-year-old and there is an asking price of €15m.

They could try to lower the cost of the operation by including players in exchange, such as Eldor Shomurodov or Edoardo Bove.

The main competition for Lukic’s signature would seem to be from Leeds United in the Premier League.

So far this season, he has scored three goals in 14 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
