According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and the Corriere dello Sport, two members of staff tested positive for COVID-19.

These people have immediately been isolated, but as per protocol, the matchday squad has gone into a ‘bubble’ and a new round of swabs along with blood tests have been made this morning.

There are also said to be concerns over El Shaarawy, who arrived from Dubai and requires the all-clear on COVID before he can have his medical with Roma.

The former Shanghai Shenhua forward was due to have his medical this morning at the Villa Stuart clinic, but so far, he hasn’t appeared.

This sparked reports he had tested positive and would have to delay the transfer until he was given the all-clear.
