Multiple reports in Italy claim Atalanta and Roma‘s directors met in Milan to discuss possible swap deals involving, among others, Mario Pasalic and Stephan El Shaarawy.

Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Giallorossi boss José Mourinho is an admirer of the former Chelsea midfielder who he coached at Stamford Bridge.

Gian Piero Gasperini is open to selling the Croat despite his 13 Serie A goals last season. Roma are looking for more midfield reinforcements after the signing of Nemanja Matic and Pasalic is a concrete option for the Giallorossi who could offer El Shaarawy as part of the deal.

They were not the only players mentioned in the meeting between club directors a few days ago.

As per Il Tempo newspaper, Roma asked for information about Aleksey Miranchuk and offered the likes of Carles Perez and Jordan Veretout who are not part of Mourinho’s plans for next season.
