Carlos Bacca's agent sounds open to a Roma transfer, calling them 'one of the best clubs in Europe'.
After cautioning on Friday that a deal would not be easy to find, agent Sergio Barila now paints a more optimistic picture, though he stressed that negotiations would have to wait until the player was through with his international commitments.
“Bacca, at this moment, is completely concentrated on the Colombian national team and on the Copa America,” he said, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
“He's happy at Sevilla. He's grateful to the Spanish club for having developed him and given him exposure on the international stage.
“The transfer market is unpredictable. Let's wait till he returns from Chile, then we'll evaluate what is to be done.
“If Bacca opts to leave Sevilla, it's not going to be for money. He already has everything he could wish for.
“Carlos is deeply religious and in Rome there is the Pope.
“The Giallorossi are one of the best clubs in Europe.”
Barila also said they were not considering offers from other clubs outside of Europe.
“Not only did we get offers from China, we've been given a very attractive option from the United Arab Emirates.
“But we weren't interested in either of them. Carlos wants to confront himself against the best of European football.”
