Roma are looking to the Premier League for a new centre-back, with Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld and Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren their targets.
Coach Paulo Fonseca warned after the latest summer friendly that “the priority is finding another centre-back” to replace Kostas Manolas, who joined Napoli in June.
Alderweireld has emerged as their first choice and the Corriere della Sera claims they are increasing their bid to €20m, but that is still well below the asking price.
