Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is one of a number of outlets reporting that a €13m deal has been agreed with Olympiacos for the Greece international, whilst a five-year contract has also been agreed with the 23-year-old.

The defender is also reported as having already arrived in Rome today to complete formalities on a move that will have him registered in time to debut against Fiorentina and that will almost certainly confirm Benatia’s departure to Germany.

The Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Arsenal were on the verge of signing Manolas, only for the Giallorossi to take the player’s attention, apparently thanks in part to current Roma man Vasilis Torosidis’ intervention, as a friend of Manolas.
