However, speaking at the club’s pre-season training camp, Rodriguez appeared relaxed about the ongoing saga.
“I haven’t spoken to him recently, because he speaks English and I don’t!” the defender told assembled media.

“I haven’t spoken to him recently, because he speaks English and I don’t!” the defender told assembled media.
“I’m only thinking about the players who are here and are focused on Fiorentina. If someone wants to leave, then it’s good that they’ve gone.”
Rodriguez did, however, admit the club must make signings if they are to maintain the standards of recent seasons.
“I think it will be very difficult to repeat what we’ve done in recent years, especially last season, but I have faith in this team.
“We have so many players that decided to stay here, despite offers from several clubs across Europe.
“I’m expecting major players to come in to continue playing our exciting brand of football. We need reinforcements to aim for trophies and to grow again, after excellent results last year.”
