Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool future is reportedly crucial to their interest in Inter’s Mateo Kovacic, while the Nerazzurri may bid for Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado.

The Croatia international has attracted the interest of the Premier League side, who are believed to have already made offers for the 21-year-old.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Reds’ original offer of €18m was raised to €20m and then €21m in the last few days.

The newspaper believes that Rodgers is a huge admirer of Kovacic and if he remains in charge, Liverpool could continue to press further for the young playmaker.

However, the future of the Northern Irish manager is in doubt and the Nerazzurri are believed to value Kovacic at more than €25m.

Furthermore, Gazzetta have reported that the Nerazzurri could bid for Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado if Mohamed Salah returns to the London club.

Salah has the right to veto the renewal of his loan at Fiorentina and if he chooses to do so in order to play in the Champions League, Inter could make an offer for Cuadrado.

The Colombian only arrived at Stamford Bridge in January, but Inter would attempt to bring him back to Italy with a similar style of deal that took Salah to Florence.

This involves a loan move, extension of the loan and eventual signing, although the San Siro outfit are reportedly also monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s Nani and Yevhen Konoplyanka of Dnipro.
