It’s reported that Santos and Atletico Mineiro have pulled out of talks for Robinho, as they cannot meet the €10m price-tag set by Milan.

The striker had declared he wanted a return to Brazil and, after selling Alexandre Pato to Corinthians for €15m, the Rossoneri were in intensive negotiations.

However, several different sources claim Santos would not go above their €7m proposal and are still falling short of Robinho’s wage demands too.

Adriano Galliani is expected to fly back to Italy today, effectively terminating talks for Robinho’s imminent exit.

Atletico Mineiro had been mentioned in the Brazilian media as preparing a €10m proposal, but their President shot down these reports.

“We don’t have the money,” insisted President Alexandre Kalil. “This is why we didn’t make any offer to Galliani, nor do we have meetings planned.

“Robinho is expensive and his wage demands are too high as well.”

With this situation, it looks increasingly likely that Robinho will stay at San Siro until June.
