Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli’s first match at Euro 2016 will be England-Russia, it has been announced.
The Mirandola native took charge of the 2014 World Cup final, and is once again the Italian official for a major tournament.
His first fixture will be the second match of Group B, as England take on Russia in Marseille, with Rizzoli assisted by Elenito Di Liberatore and Mauro Tonolini.
Rizzoli previously officiated the Three Lions’ draw with France in the group stage of the 2012 European Championships.
