Nicola Rizzoli will receive an award ahead of the Italy-Germany friendly for being the best referee at Euro 2016.
The Giulio Campanati Award will be handed out in a ceremony at San Siro next Tuesday, just before the international match.
Italian official Rizzoli has been deemed to be the most effective referee at this summer’s tournament, as he oversaw four games including the Germany-France semi-final.
It’s not his first big award, as Rizzoli was also voted best referee at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
