Fiorentina winger Franck Ribery met with coach Gennaro Gattuso on Friday and will reportedly decide his future in the middle of next week.

The French attacker returned to Germany and moved out of his villa in Florence, as the rental contract expired.

Ribery’s deal with at the Artemio Franchi expires this summer and Tuttomercatoweb reports the 38-year-old seems set for a future elsewhere.

But the former Bayern Munich star has publicly said he is willing to stay at the club and met with Gattuso this week to get clarity about the role he will play under the former Napoli and Milan coach.

The report reveals the veteran and the new coach had a long chat about the project at Fiorentina, but didn’t reach a conclusion.

Ribery, who played 29 times in Serie A last season, contributing two goals and seven assists, is expected to make a decision by Wednesday.
