Ribery back in training

Fiorentina have revealed that Franck Ribery has returned to training with the rest of the group to give Beppe Iachini a boost ahead of an tough run-in.

The Viola winger has been out since he injured his ankle against Lecce in November and the issue required surgery in mid-December.

Franck Ribery arrived at the Artemio Franchi from Bayern Munich last summer and after 11 seasons at the Allianz-Arena in Bavaria, he has only played 11 games in Serie A for his new team in Florence.

His season has been interrupted by injury, but CEO Joe Barone insisted that the French star has contributed also off the pitch this term.

His return could be a great boost for coach Iachini, who has been without the influential forward since he took over during the winter break. It's expected that he will have to cope without Ribery for a few more weeks, as he gets back in shape in training.

Fiorentina are currently 13th in Serie A and will face Udinese on Sunday, in a shuffled Serie A fixture list.
