Tiago Djaló is on the verge of joining Juventus and is expected to undergo his medical with the Serie A giants next week.
Fabrizio Romano reports the Portuguese centre-back is expected to land in Turin next week to undergo medical examinations with Juventus ahead of a permanent €3.5m transfer from Lille.
Djaló’s contract expires at the end of the season, so Juventus managed to reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 side for a relatively low transfer fee.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal includes a 10% sell-on clause for the French club.
Juventus directors are currently finalising the latest details on the player’s contract before his trip to Italy.
Djaló, a former Milan defender who joined Lille in 2019 as part of the Rafael Leao deal, has yet to make his 2023-24 debut as he’s been recovering from a knee injury suffered in March 2023.
Juventus rivals Inter had held talks with the Portuguese centre-back ahead of a possible free transfer over the summer but decided not to match the Bianconeri’s offer for the January transfer window.
