Reus rolled his ankle just before half-time, and it has been confirmed that the 25-year-old will not be back in time for the tournament in Brazil.

“He suffered a partial tear of his anterior ligament above his left ankle,” a brief statement read.

Germany take on Portugal, Ghana and USA in Group G.
