According to the Repubblica newspaper, Roma have agreed personal terms with Granit Xhaka and are very close to a deal with Arsenal worth €18m plus bonuses.

The Switzerland international is eager to unite with Jose Mourinho, who has just taken over from Paulo Fonseca at the Stadio Olimpico.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more had all stated an agreement was close.

Now the Repubblica insists a deal is practically done, as Roma are offering €18m plus a series of relatively easy to achieve bonuses.

The Giallorossi also agreed personal terms with the midfielder, a contract worth €2.5m per season.
