According to La Repubblica newspaper, Antonio Conte dreams of coaching Manchester United to follow in Sir Alex Ferguson’s footsteps, but PSG would also consider the Tottenham coach should Mauricio Pochettino leave.

Conte lost four of his last five games in North London after remaining unbeaten in his first nine league matches.

The Italian tactician erupted at a press conference on Wednesday, following Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat against Burnley.

Conte questions Tottenham future: ‘I must talk to the club’

“I came in to try to improve the situation in Tottenham, but maybe at this moment, I don’t know, I’m not so good to improve the situation,” he said.

“For me, it’s very frustrating because I know we’re working hard, working a lot and trying to get the best out of every single player. The reality is this.”

Conte has doubts about Tottenham’s long-term project and could leave the club at the end of the season despite a contract expiring in June 2023, reports La Repubblica.

According to the report, Conte dreams of coaching Manchester United. The job at Old Trafford is described as a ‘personal challenge’ that the former midfielder wants to ‘experience before ending his coaching career.’

Ancelotti’s Real Madrid future in doubt amid Pochettino rumours

However, PSG are also an option for the ex Inter and Juventus coach. Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly no longer on good terms with Leonardo and even winning the Champions League this season may not be enough to save his job. The Argentinean coach is also attracted by Manchester United and has also been linked with replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Zizou Zidane and Didier Deschamps are reported to be PSG’s main targets and, if Pochettino leaves, the Ligue 1 giants will try to hire one of the two France legends before talking to Conte.
