Reports: Suarez all set for Juventus

There are growing reports in Spain and Italy that Juventus have agreed terms with both Barcelona and Luis Suarez, so the transfer is imminent.

The striker has accepted a contract with the Bianconeri, a two-year deal with option for a third at €10m net per season.

According to Goal.com, Tuttomercatoweb and others, Barcelona are ready to let Suarez go without a transfer fee.

Juve will therefore only pay a nominal compensation fee of circa €1.5m, similar to the agreement Barca reached with Sevilla for Ivan Rakitic.

Mundo Deportivo report that Suarez will be at the Italian Consulate tomorrow to take a language test as part of his application for a passport.

He is able to obtain one because his wife has Italian ancestry, so that passport would enable him to register in Serie A as an EU player, not taking up one of the limited slots on non-EU players.
