Reports are growing that Milan are in talks with Marcus Thuram, putting them in competition with Inter and Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international is a free agent after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach was allowed to run down and expires on June 30.

He had been linked with Inter in January, but the contract situation and an injury prompted them to look elsewhere.

PSG are considered the favourites, but after Sportitalia, now RMC Sport in France also claim that Milan have made a significant approach for the forward.

The 25-year-old is no stranger to Italy, as his father is former Parma and Juventus defender Lilian Thuram, so he was born in the Peninsula.

He scored 16 goals and provided seven assists for Borussia Monchengladbach this season.

His versatility is considered important, as Thuram can play as a centre-forward, on the left or the right wing of a trident.

While Paolo Maldini was aiming more for a ‘finished product’ striker like Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic, CEO Giorgio Furlani is reported to be more interested in an investment with selling-on potential like Thuram.
