According to Sportitalia, the new contract that Rafael Leao has agreed with Milan will have a release clause set at €170m.

That is an increase on the current €150m clause in the deal that is due to expire in June 2024.

The Portugal international has been in negotiations with the club for at least a year to work out the details with his agents and multiple sources claim today that he has committed his future to the San Siro giants.

More details are starting to emerge and Sportitalia claim the release clause has been set at €170m.

Much like the current clause, it will probably be valid only for a very short period of time during the summer, generally July 1-15.

He had been heavily linked with the likes of Chelsea, PSG, Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Leao is a major doubt to feature in this evening’s Champions League semi-final against rivals Inter, as he strained a muscle during the 2-0 Serie A victory over Lazio on Saturday.
