Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia report that Luis Alberto has agreed to extend his contract with Lazio to June 2027.

The midfielder turns 31 in September and his current deal was set to run until June 2025.

His future was already up in the air with the arrival of coach Maurizio Sarri, but he managed to win over the tactician and adapt to the 4-3-3 formation.

The Spaniard was again linked with a potential exit, however multiple reports this evening state that an agreement has been reached to extend the deal to 2027.

Sportitalia maintain the contract will earn him €4m per season plus bonuses, an increase from the previous salary of €3.5m.

He has been at the Stadio Olimpico since leaving Liverpool in 2016, amassing 47 goals and 68 assists in 263 competitive games for the club.

Luis Alberto also shares the same agents as Luca Pellegrini, who is on loan at Lazio from Juventus, and of Biancocelesti transfer target Milos Kerkez at AZ Alkmaar.
