Hakan Calhanoglu continues to impress with his consistent performances in midfield for Inter, and now the 29-year-old is attracting interest from some of the big names in the Premier League according to reports on Saturday morning.
The Turkish international has received plenty of praise in recent weeks, including from national team coach Vincenzo Montella, who recently claimed that Calhanoglu is ‘the best midfielder in Italy, potentially even in the world.’
Mario Balotelli, meanwhile, has said that Calhanoglu ranks among the top five midfielders in Europe.
Calhanoglu’s importance to coach Simone Inzaghi is clear to see as well, as he is yet to be left out of the starting line-up in any Serie A match so far in the 2023-24 season.
His string of consistent performances are not going unnoticed, however, as Tuttosport notes that reports from Turkey suggest both Liverpool and Chelsea, who themselves are lacking in midfield options, could be tempted to make an approach in the transfer market.
The Nerazzurri currently have Calhanoglu signed up to a contract which runs until the summer of 2027.
